Main features:
- Workbook as result of the report generation. Result of generation of the report is the workbook similar MS Excel. After generation this book is not linked to the paper format, the printer, etc. All these parameters are set by the end user at a printing of the generated report. Before a printing of the report it can be previewed in the
preview window as well as in MS Excel.

- Embedded script engine. Into the GridReport structure enters script engine which allows to completely manage the process of the report generation. The script engine based on Microsoft Active Scripting technology.

- Aliases support. For any object in the program the pseudonym can be set, clear for the end user. For example, for dataset "Table1" with field "Name", the pseudonym +Name of client; can be set, and then this pseudonym can be used inside the report template.

- The report can be generated by a script. Any hardcoded template, enters restrictions into process of the report generation, use of a script allows to avoid these
restrictions.

- The end user can change without effort the report template, adding in it new fields or simply changing a form of the report.

- The end user can edit the generated report. The user can delete lines and columns, to change contents and formatting of cells and, the sizes of page can be
changed.

- The unlimited size of the report. The workbook generated by the report, can contain any amount of sheets, each sheet can contain unlimited amount of rows and
columns.

- Cross-tab-reports.

- Export to the most frequently used formats XLS and HTML. Export is based on the vtkExport library, at exporting is not used OLE, DDE, etc.

vtkExport

The generating of XLS file makes without use DDE, OLE, i.e. to receive the XLS file MS Excel is not required on the computer.
Images, formulas, page properties, links to another sheets and workbooks are supported.
The method of export is very simple - you form the TvteXLSWorkBook object, which has properties and methods similar to properties and methods of the OLE Excel server and call method SaveAsXLSToFile or SaveAsHTMLToFile.
PReport

PReport - library intended for generation of the reports. It is written on Object Pascal, can be used with Borland Delphi 4-7 and Borland C ++ Builder 5-6. The majority of possibilities represented by similar report generators: FastReport, ReportBuilder, QuickReport is supported, however there are distinctive, unique features. So, for example PReport can be used not only for generation standard graphic Windows reports, but also for generation of the text reports for printing on matrix printers.
